Thunder Mountain Elementary Bond Work
Before bond-funded work began, Thunder Mountain Elementary was in poor condition with serious facility needs. The most significant included replacing HVAC systems and lighting fixtures, adding a fire sprinkler system, improving site and parking lot paving, completing ADA accessibility upgrades, and replacing casework. The building has also experienced substantial structural movement, which damaged exterior veneers and interior finishes that now need replacement. The school will also require a new roof in the near future. From an educational standpoint, Thunder Mountain needed modernized special education and small group spaces, and increased daylight in learning areas.
Bond-funded improvements at Thunder Mountain Elementary focus on safety upgrades, better campus circulation, and accessibility enhancements that support students and staff throughout the school day.
