Taylor Elementary Bond Work

Before bond-funded work began, Taylor Elementary was in poor condition with several critical facility needs. The most significant included the upcoming need to replace HVAC equipment and controls, replace the roof, upgrade plumbing fixtures, improve site and parking lot paving, complete interior ADA upgrades, and replace interior finishes and casework. The building also needs repairs to exterior cracking masonry and replacement of exterior windows and door hardware. From an educational standpoint, the school needed modernized special education and small group spaces, an improved music classroom, better acoustics and lighting in classrooms, and new casework.

Bond-funded work at Taylor Elementary prioritizes building safety, secure entry improvements, special education space upgrades, and campus functionality to better support students and staff.

Completed Work Includes:

  • Asbestos abatement

  • Fire sprinkler system installed

  • New ceilings

  • Security vestibule reconfiguration

  • Transaction window upgrades

  • SPED classroom and office reconfigurations

  • Added group rooms

  • Media center improvements

  • Parking lot seal coat and re-striping

  • Door hardware upgrades

  • Group room storefront doors & hardware

  • Flooring patches

  • Roofing corrections

  • Fencing out front

  • Bollards

  • Bus loop seal coat

  • Classroom sinks

  • Punch list items
