Orchard Avenue Elementary Bond Work

Before bond-funded work began, Orchard Avenue Elementary was in fair condition with several significant facility needs. The most critical included portions of roof replacement, exterior wall repairs, new windows and doors, structural foundation repairs, installation of fire sprinklers, interior finish upgrades, and major ADA accessibility improvements. There is also an upcoming, though not urgent, need to replace HVAC systems and plumbing fixtures. From an educational standpoint, Orchard Avenue needed modernized special education and small-group spaces, an updated computer lab, and improved classroom acoustics.

Bond-funded work at Orchard Avenue Elementary is strengthening learning spaces and improving key student-serving areas. The school will also receive additional improvements during Phase Two of the bond program, with more projects moving into design for future summers.
