Chatfield Elementary Bond Work
Before bond-funded Priority Improvement Projects began, Chatfield Elementary was in poor condition, with several significant facility needs. The most critical issues included aging HVAC rooftop units, boilers and controls, the need for a fire sprinkler system, and improvements to site and parking lot paving. From an educational standpoint, the school also needed modernized special education and small group spaces, along with better acoustics and lighting in classrooms. Enrollment at Chatfield is within the ideal utilization range of 75 to 90 percent.
Bond-funded Priority Improvement Projects at Chatfield Elementary are addressing these needs through safety upgrades, building system improvements, and learning space enhancements that better support students and staff.
