Central High School (Bond "Part 1")
Before bond-funded work began, Central High School was in fair condition but faced significant facility needs. These included major replacement of HVAC systems, lighting and plumbing fixtures, installation of fire sprinklers, upgrades to the fire alarm system, and improvements to site concrete and paving. Interior upgrades were also needed, including flooring, ceilings, casework, and ADA accessibility improvements. From an educational standpoint, the school needs modernized special education and small-group spaces, improved lighting and acoustics in classrooms, upgraded science labs and auditoriums, new communication systems, and updated athletic fields.
Central High School is one of the three major parts of the $190 million bond approved by the community. The project is now in design and planning, with construction scheduled to begin in Summer 2026.
