Fourth graders will build their understanding of perspective by traveling into the past, analyzing the present and envision the future. Through the year, they will develop a repertoire of problem solving strategies to employ as they persist through tasks when working independently and interdependently. As they learn to apply past knowledge to new situations, fourth graders will realize the value of carrying meaning from one experience forward into a new experience. Calling upon their store of knowledge and experience as sources of information, fourth graders will be able to interpret past perspectives, investigate perspectives around them and envision new perspectives.
