D51 high schools place in state marching band

phs marching band at stateGrand Junction, CO - All four District 51 high school marching bands placed in state rankings this year! 

Palisade High School came in second in Class 3A at the State Marching Band Championships for Class 1A-3A schools on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, at Stocker Stadium in Grand Junction.

While the state championship competition for Class 4A and 5A schools was canceled due to weather, the Colorado Bandmasters Association awarded rankings to state qualifiers based on their scores at regional competitions. 

In Class 5A, Fruita Monument High School placed sixth in the state. In Class 4A, Central High School came in 13th place, and Grand Junction High School came in 17th place.
