Alerts
At District 51, safety and security is a top priority. We recognize that parents entrust their children to our schools to receive an education, and we are dedicated to fostering a safe and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive. In the event of an emergency or safety-related concern at or near a school, parents will be alerted in various ways.
- The District Communications Office may text, email, or call families.
- Notifications will be posted to the district website's homepage, as well as the specific school where the incident occurred. The District website is the best place to find the most up-to-date information.
As a reminder, during an emergency situation, our priority is to secure our students and school campuses and then communicate as quickly as possible. Initial information regarding the emergency notification may be limited, but we will continue to update families and staff with pertinent information as soon as possible.
District 51 partners with School Messenger to send notifications to parents.
