Mesa County Valley School District 51 is committed to creating safe, efficient, and high-performing learning environments for students, staff, and the broader community. As the district continues to navigate limited state funding, we are proactively exploring every opportunity to be responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars while maintaining quality education and facilities.

As part of this effort, D51 has partnered with Schneider Electric on a district-wide energy efficiency initiative. This project is one piece of a broader strategy to reduce operating costs, improve building performance, and allow staff to focus more time and resources where it matters most, supporting students.

Project Priorities

Improve Learning Environments

Upgrade lighting systems to create brighter, safer, and more comfortable spaces for students and staff.

Make Every Dollar Work Harder

Implement cost-saving solutions that reduce long-term expenses without adding financial burden to the district.

Increase Operational Efficiency

Introduce modern building automation systems to simplify building management and reduce manual workload for maintenance teams.

Deliver Long-Term Solutions

Reduce energy consumption and position the district for continued savings over time.
