Asian Pacific American Heritage
Asian Pacific American Culture D51 Student Education Project
We are inviting you to participate in our Inaugural Asian Pacific American Culture D51 Student Education Project! We are collecting digital media from Asian American leaders to make available for our teachers to share with D51 students during Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. Examples of this media include: motivational messages, educational speeches, artistic expressions (poems, stories, songs, spoken word presentations, visual art with audio interpretation, etc.) This will take place The Month of May in 2021 in all District 51 schools including our D51 On-line Program. We are asking our participants to frame their contributions around these these two questions:
1. What is your message to our youth to promote the importance of Asian Pacific American cultural influence on our community?
2. How did your cultural identity influence your decision to do what you do today?
Please submit your video to Tracy Gallegos.
