Lunch Lizard Summer Meal Program

Mesa County Mobile Summer Food Program

Feeding Hungry Kids...One Neighborhood at a Time

The D51 Lunch Lizard is a beloved initiative in District 51 aimed at ensuring that no child goes hungry during the summer. This mobile meal program brings nutritious lunches directly to community youth during the summer months when school is out of session, as well as during other breaks when access to meals may be limited. The Lunch Lizard travels to various neighborhoods and community locations, offering free and healthy meals to children aged 18 and under, regardless of their economic background. It's not just about providing sustenance; it's about fostering a sense of community and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive. With its cheerful colors and friendly staff, the Lunch Lizard is a welcome sight for families throughout District 51.
