Projects

Maintenance Coordinator
Eddie Mort

Introduction:

The Projects office is responsible for accomplishing tasks for the District which are beyond the scope of regular scheduled maintenance. This includes renovations, remodels, additions, alterations, new construction, site development, and capital fund replacements, IE: roofing, blacktop, floor coverings, HVAC, boiler replacements, etc.

The primary difference between maintenance and projects can most easily be defined by the source of funding. "Maintenance" is defined as maintaining existing facilities, equipment, sites, etc. This work is funded annually through the General Fund budget and work is accomplished through the regular work order process. "Projects" are defined as work not covered by routine maintenance and may be funded from any other source available.
