Science
Our K-12 science curriculum is driven by making sense of real-world phenomenon that spark curiosity and inspire investigation.
Grounded in the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), learners explore compelling questions about the natural and designed world through hands-on investigations, data analysis, and collaborative problem-solving. From observing weather patterns in elementary school to modeling ecosystems and engineering solutions in high school, learners learn to think critically and construct explanations using evidence just like scientists and engineers do in the real world.
Below you’ll find documents that outline the key units taught throughout the school year in science. These overviews provide a high-level snapshot of the instructional sequence for each grade level. Each unit, module, or topic is linked to a more detailed unit plan, which includes the standards, essential content, and instructional focus. While the site is accessible to all stakeholders, some linked resources, such as assessments or copyrighted instructional materials, may only be accessible to staff.
