Course Catalog

This comprehensive district-wide course catalog contains the courses available to high school students in Mesa County Valley School District 51. Its intended purpose is to guide students in making strategic course selections that will ensure readiness for college and career.

In D51, students have a wealth of opportunities and experience rich coursework throughout their high school career. The flexibility within the graduation requirements provides students with many options in carving out their path towards obtaining a high school diploma. These decisions that students make will lead to strong academic preparation in high school, aligned to the competencies outlined in the D51 Graduate Profile, resulting in postsecondary success in career, college, or the military. 

Each high school also offers unique programs and learning experiences, and families are encouraged to work closely with their school counselors to make informed course selections that reflect a student’s interests, strengths, and aspirations.

Students and parents are encouraged to examine the information in the high school course catalog carefully when considering the courses to be taken aligned with graduation requirements and future goals. This catalog provides a foundation for conversations between high school counselors and their students when selecting courses for the upcoming school year.
